EnKoat officially launched to transform advanced materials research into commercial energy-efficient solutions. Founders began developing IntelliKoat™, a dual-layer thermal and weather barrier system.
EnKoat Founded
Selected for the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program. Conducted 100+ customer discovery interviews in 7 weeks to refine product-market fit. Real world testing conducted on the first roof with IntelliKoat showing 30% reduction in cooling energy consumption.
NSF I-Corps and Early Validation
EnKoat has secured distribution with several of the largest roofing distributors in the nation and tremendously increased its manufacturing capacity to service several key states. Partnered with SRP and ASU on a high-profile joint project covered in several media outlets.
