THE SYSTEM

White coatings only reflect sunlight. IntelliKoat™ adds a basecoat with phase-change particles that absorb and release heat, slowing the heat moving through your roof. Independent testing showed 5x the thermal performance of standard white coatings.

They are materials that store heat as they melt and release it as they solidify, like an ice pack in a cooler. In IntelliKoat™, they are encapsulated as tiny particles and designed for the temperatures your climate needs.

Yes. All three product lines go right over your existing roof with no tear-off, which means less disruption and no old roofing sent to landfill.

The EnFlex™ 210 topcoat shields the roof from UV damage and seals out rain and moisture, and it passed 1,000 hours of accelerated weathering with no cracking. In Restore and Perform, the EnBase™ 110 basecoat adds waterproofing underneath.

IntelliKoat™ is a water-based, low-VOC acrylic system that cures into one continuous, seamless film. Safety data sheets for each product are available on our Documents page.

PRODUCT LINES

It depends on your roof’s condition and how long you plan to keep the building. ReNew suits sound roofs due for a recoat, Restore brings back aging roofs, and Perform delivers the longest life and biggest energy savings.

ReNew is for sound flat and low-slope roofs, including foam, built-up, modified bitumen and rolled roofing, that are due for a recoat. If your roof has standing water or active leaks, Restore or Perform is the better choice.

A conventional recoat takes two coats and two visits. ReNew does the job in a single coat of EnFlex™ 210, with less than half the material, 7.5x the industry adhesion standard, and a warranty of up to 15 years.

It depends on how long you need the roof to last. ReNew 7 is the entry option, ReNew 10 is the most common choice and the direct upgrade from a standard recoat, and ReNew 15 adds a thicker coat for the longest single-coat warranty.

ReNew is a single coat for sound roofs due for a recoat. Restore adds the EnBase™ 110 waterproofing and thermal basecoat under the EnFlex™ 210 topcoat, so it can bring back aging roofs that need real restoration.

It depends on how long you plan to keep the building. Restore 10 suits a 10-year horizon, such as rental properties. Restore 15 uses a heavier basecoat for buildings you plan to keep longer.

Both use the EnBase™ 110 basecoat and EnFlex™ 210 topcoat. Perform applies them at full dry film thickness, which earns a 20-year warranty and delivers the biggest energy savings, with 20 to 30 percent lower cooling costs.

Yes. Perform goes over your existing roof with no tear-off, no seams and no week of disruption, at a lower installed cost than a full re-roof, and it comes with a 20-year material warranty.

APPLICATION

In most cases, yes. With no tear-off, the work happens on the roof while operations continue below. We have coated a police training center with minimal disruption, and finished a school roof over a break so classes were not affected.

IntelliKoat™ has been applied to TPO, metal, modified bitumen, built-up and spray foam roofs, on everything from homes to data centers. Our team assesses your roof first to confirm the fit and recommend the right product line.

Yes. High heat and humidity can lengthen cure times, so your contractor plans the application around the forecast. ReNew needs only one cure window, which means fewer weather delays.

That depends on the product line. Warranties range from 7 years for ReNew 7 up to 20 years for Perform, and actual performance depends on your roof’s condition and climate, which we review during your assessment.

WARRANTY AND COST

IntelliKoat™ goes right over your existing roof, so there is no tear-off. That means a lower cost than a full replacement, less disruption, and no old roofing sent to landfill, while adding up to 20 years to your roof’s life.

ReNew comes with a 7, 10 or 15-year material warranty. Restore offers 10 or 15 years, and Perform offers 20 years. Restore and Perform also offer an NDL upgrade.

NDL stands for “no dollar limit.” It adds labor-and-materials coverage on top of the standard material warranty, so repairs are covered as well as the coating itself. It is available on Restore and Perform at added cost.

It depends on your utility and location. Many programs reward upgrades that lower cooling demand, and our team checks which ones apply to your project when you request a quote.

Yes, in many cases. Programs like Michigan Saves offer low-interest financing for energy upgrades, and other options such as PACE loans may be available depending on where your building is.

Often, yes. Many rebate and financing programs require approval before installation, so talk to our team early in your planning.

FOR CONTRACTORS

Register for one of our in-person workshops or virtual sessions. You will learn surface prep, application and inspection for the IntelliKoat™ system, and our team supports you on your first projects.

IntelliKoat™ has been applied to TPO, metal, modified bitumen, built-up and spray foam roofs. Check the data sheets for prep requirements on each surface, or contact engineering@enkoat.com with project-specific questions.

Contact our sales team at sales@enkoat.com. We will walk you through ordering, quantities and support for your first project.

FOR SPECIFIERS

Testing by the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly NREL) showed 5x the thermal performance of standard white coatings. We also field-validated the system at ASU’s Polytechnic campus, comparing coated and uncoated sections with 30+ sensors alongside ASU and Salt River Project.

IntelliKoat™ has been applied to TPO, metal, modified bitumen, built-up and spray foam roofs. Check the data sheets for prep requirements, or ask our technical team to review your project.

Yes. Download the specification language from our Documents page, or contact engineering@enkoat.com for help adapting it to your project.
